Terms of service
Last updated: October 12, 2026 · Version 2026-10-12 · Leer en español
Beta terms. BoriQR is in private beta: access is limited to approved participants, Stripe runs in test mode and no real charges are made. The price, billing and refund sections apply once the paid service starts. A Puerto Rico attorney will review these terms before then; if they change, we will ask you to accept the new version.
1. What these terms cover
BoriQR (bori-qr.com) is a service for creating digital catalogs with QR codes for Puerto Rico businesses. These terms are an agreement between BoriQR and the person who creates an account to manage one or more businesses (“you”). The Privacy policy explains what data we use and how.
2. Acceptance
You accept these terms and the Privacy policy by ticking the acceptance box when you create or reactivate a business. We keep a record of that acceptance, described in the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and have authority to act for the business you register.
- You sign in with your Google account through Auth0. Keeping your Google account secure is your responsibility.
- One account can manage several businesses. Each business has its own subscription.
- You are responsible for what is published from your account.
4. The service and its limits
Each business gets a public page on bori-qr.com, a QR code and a dashboard to edit its catalog. The current limits are:
- Up to 1,000 products per catalog.
- Up to 1,000 photo uploads per business per day.
- Up to 2 MB per image.
We may change features and limits. If a change reduces what you get for what you pay, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance.
5. Price, free trial and billing
When the beta ends, billing for a new business works like this:
- Free for 14 days.
- After that, $15 a month per business plus applicable taxes, charged automatically every month until you cancel.
- We let you know before the first charge.
- Cancel whenever you like from Mis negocios › Suscripciones y pagos.
- You keep access until the end of the current period.
Reactivating a cancelled business has no free trial:
- $15 a month per business plus applicable taxes, charged automatically every month from today until you cancel.
- Cancel whenever you like from Mis negocios › Suscripciones y pagos.
- You keep access until the end of the current period.
Stripe processes payments. BoriQR never receives or stores your card number. Taxes are calculated from the billing address you give Stripe. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and the new price will apply from your next period.
6. Failed payments and cancellation
- If a charge fails, your catalog stays public and you can keep editing it while Stripe retries the charge. You will see a notice asking you to update your payment method.
- If Stripe cancels the subscription after its retries, the catalog stops being public.
- If you cancel, the catalog stays public until the end of the paid period. After that it is no longer public and you can no longer edit it.
- Cancelling is not deleting. We keep the catalog and photos so you can reactivate the business. If you want them deleted, ask as section 14 explains.
7. Refunds
We do not refund partial periods or unused months, except where the law requires it. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. If we delete a business at your request, we cancel its subscription immediately, with no automatic refund.
8. Your content
What you publish (names, descriptions, prices, hours, contact details, photos and logos) remains yours. To run the service you allow us, while your content is on BoriQR, to store it, copy it, convert and crop images, and show it in your public catalog. That permission ends when we delete the content, except for backups, which expire on the schedule in the Privacy policy.
Your catalog is public: anyone with the link or the QR code can see it.
9. Acceptable content
Do not publish content that:
- is illegal or offers illegal products or services;
- infringes copyright, trademarks or other people's rights;
- misleads about prices or products;
- is sexually explicit, violent, hateful or harassing;
- includes other people's personal data without their permission;
- includes malware or tries to harm the service.
Do not try to get around the service's limits or reach accounts or data that are not yours. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection laws.
10. Reports and content removal
Anyone can report content by writing to mathcelopr@gmail.com. We review every report and do not treat an allegation as proven. If a photo or product breaks these terms, we may take it off your public catalog. Removed content cannot be published again from a saved draft; if it is uploaded again, we can remove it again. We will tell you and you can respond; if the removal was a mistake, we reverse it. We do not reveal who made a report without their permission or a legal order.
11. Copyright
By uploading content you confirm that it is yours or that you have permission to use it this way. If you believe something published on BoriQR infringes your copyright, write to mathcelopr@gmail.com with your name and contact details, the protected work, the link to the content and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized. We will remove infringing content, tell the business owner, and they can respond. We will close the account of anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account or a business if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the service or other people. Where possible, we will tell you by email beforehand and say why. You can stop using BoriQR at any time.
13. Availability and cost pauses
We do our best to keep BoriQR available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To prevent runaway costs, the service has automatic brakes: if usage passes certain limits, the application stops itself until we review it. While it is stopped, public catalogs, the dashboard and sign-in do not work, although some photos may keep loading. We may also carry out maintenance without notice. During the beta there is no compensation for interruptions.
14. Your data and requests
You can ask us to correct your data or to delete a business or your whole account. The Privacy policy explains how to ask, how we do it and what is kept.
15. Warranties and liability
BoriQR is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. BoriQR is not liable for lost sales, profits or data, or for indirect damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the affected business in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law. Any dispute will be brought before the courts with jurisdiction in Puerto Rico.
17. Changes to these terms
Each version is identified by its date. When we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page and ask you to accept it the next time you create or reactivate a business. If the change is significant, we will also tell you by email. Earlier versions remain available on this page.
18. Language
These terms are published in Spanish and English. If the versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
